This week, from May 21 to 23, IFEMA hosts more than 450 international experts, such as Christian Lifländer, Head of Cybersecurity of NATO; George Beebe, former head of Russia Analytics at the CIA; or Jack Cheng, CEO of the Chinese electric & autonomous car manufacturer NIO.

With this, Madrid becomes the Digital Capital of the Digital Enterprise. During these 3 days, DES welcomes the most outstanding international experts in the field of digitization and business model transformation.

Making Digital part of your DNA

The fourth edition of DES2019 opens its doors under this slogan and expects to receive more than 25,000 professionals, who come to IFEMA to learn about the latest technologies enabling innovation for their businesses, from the hand of more than 300 leading exhibiting firms; as well as to attend the largest world congress on digital transformation. The central topics of this Congress are Industry 4.0, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain and Cybersecurity.

In this fourth edition, Germany is DES2019’s guest country. The international representation will be completed with more than 17 international delegations from the USA, Sweden, India, Brazil or China, among others. Alongsode them you can visit the Spanish pavilion, organized by Red.es and ICEX where you can meet many Spanish technology companies.

The spanish Government, Comunidad de Madrid and the Madrid City Council have taken a step forward in order to position Madrid on the international technological agenda, by supporting DES. It is expected that this year will leave an estimated economic return of more than 48 million euros.

In recent years the capital has already been able to perceive the impact of DES after its celebration, because numerous Innovation and Digital Skills Centers have been established in the Community of Madrid in recent times, for example, companies such as BASF, Data4, Deloitte or Telefónica, have recently chosen Madrid to locate their digital innovation centers.
